FCCPC Celebrates Court Ruling on Air Peace Refund Case

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) commended a judgment delivered by Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja on April 20, 2026. The court dismissed a suit filed by Air Peace that challenged the FCCPC's authority to investigate consumer complaints related to unrefunded ticket fares for canceled flight services.

Mr. Tunji Bello, the Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the FCCPC, emphasized that the judgment clarifies the commission's regulatory oversight role in protecting consumers and promoting fair market practices.
