Abuja's AMCE Achieves Historic Medical Breakthroughs

The African Medic Centre Excel (AMCE) in Abuja has made significant strides in healthcare by completing its first open-heart surgery, a complex triple coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), and delivering West Africa's first stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for lung cancer. These achievements mark a major advancement in healthcare delivery in the region, reducing the need for outbound medical travel.

The AMCE, developed in partnership with the African Export Import Bank (Afreximbank) and King's College Hospital London, is rapidly expanding its capabilities in cardiovascular medicine and oncology.
