PDP Candidate Izekor Rejects FCT Election Results, Heads to Tribunal

Hon. Loveth Izekor, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) councillorship candidate for City Centre Ward in the Abuja Municipal Area Council, has publicly rejected the results of the recent area council elections held on February 21.

During a press conference in Abuja, she alleged that the election results were not transmitted in real-time from the polling units, which she claims led to manipulation favoring the APC candidate. Izekor stated that her party's records indicate she won the election convincingly in major polling units.

She expressed her determination to reclaim her mandate and announced that her legal team is prepared to file a petition in the tribunal. Izekor emphasized the urgent need for electoral reforms, including real-time electronic transmission of results, to protect the integrity of the ballot and prevent electoral malpractice.
