Boko Haram Executes Seven Captives in Borno State

Boko Haram executed seven captives who tried to escape from their hideout in Borno State, with the incident reported to have occurred on Tuesday evening. This act has heightened fears regarding the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Nigeria's northeast.

Sources indicate that dozens of abducted civilians, primarily women and children, are held under harsh conditions within the camp. The victims who attempted to escape were reportedly executed in front of other captives to intimidate them.

Currently, 416 women and children remain in captivity, suffering from starvation and lack of medical attention. The Borno South Youth Alliance (BSYA) has raised concerns about the situation, calling for urgent intervention to rescue the captives.

The group has made several efforts to mediate humanitarian channels for the release of at least 50 women and children. Disturbing footage of the executions was shared to draw attention to the plight of the captives, emphasizing the need for political leaders and international organizations to support efforts aimed at securing their release.
