FEDUGAM 2026 Set for May 17-23 in Rivers State

The 6th Federal Education Sector Games (FEDUGAM 2026) are scheduled to occur from May 17 to 23, 2026, in Rivers State. Chief Mathew Okeyinka, a consultant for the event, announced the football pairings and confirmed that the football matches will take place at the Chat Football Stadium in Port Harcourt.

The event will feature 1,500 athletes competing in 13 sports, with participation from 15 agencies under the Ministry of Education. The opening ceremony is set for May 19, 2026.

Okeyinka emphasized that strict eligibility rules will apply, requiring participants to be bona fide pension staff of the agencies. Athletes must present official ID cards and National Identification Numbers (NIN) to qualify.

Disqualifications will occur for teams using unqualified players, and any violent conduct will result in bans. The event aims to unite and develop the community, with Governor Similayi Fubara expressing support for the games.
