FG Tasks New RRBN Registrar on Digitalization and Ethics

The Federal Government of Nigeria, represented by the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Iziak Adekunle Salako, has charged Dr.

Idri Garba, the newly appointed registrar of the Radiography Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN), to focus on digitalizing the profession and eradicating quackery. During the presentation of Dr.

Garba's appointment letter in Abuja, Dr. Salako emphasized the critical role that digitalization will play in healthcare delivery, noting that it will facilitate the identification of licensed radiography practitioners both within and outside the country.

He highlighted the importance of enforcing ethical conduct to combat the serious issue of quackery, which has been a significant concern in the profession. Dr.

Salako commended the panel that conducted the selection process and urged Dr. Garba to leverage his extensive experience to foster growth in the health sector.

Dr. Garba expressed his commitment to maintaining the good work of his predecessor and ensuring a harmonious relationship with professional associations.
