Lagos Declared Best State in 2025 Ease of Doing Business Report

The Nigerian government has recognized Lagos as the top-performing state in the 2025 PEBEC Ease of Doing Business report, surpassing other states like Kaduna and Oyo. The report assessed 36 states and the FCT, with Lagos leading at 85.6%.

Urgent reforms identified include investor aftercare systems and improving power reliability. Princess Zahrah Mustapha Audu, the Director-General of PEBEC, emphasized the need for sustained reforms to enhance Nigeria's long-term competitiveness.

Additionally, the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board emerged as the best-performing MDA in the country.
