FG Denies Allegations of Genocide Against Christians in Nigeria, Calls Claims Baseless

The Federal Government of Nigeria has refuted claims circulating online alleging genocide against Christians in the country. Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi, labeled the accusations baseless and aimed at sowing division.

Malagi emphasized that terrorism in Nigeria does not target a specific religion, with both Muslims and Christians falling victim to violent groups. The government highlighted recent military successes in combating terrorism, including neutralizing terrorists and rescuing hostages.

The Minister warned against framing Nigeria's security challenges as a religious war, urging unity against terrorist attempts to divide citizens along religious and ethnic lines.
