Nigerian Government Reveals Details of US Airstrikes Against ISIS in Sokoto State

The Nigerian government disclosed the specifics of US airstrikes against ISIS terrorists in Sokoto State, following intelligence reports of foreign ISIS elements infiltrating the region. The operation, approved by the President, successfully targeted ISIS enclaves in Bauni Forest and Tangaza LGA.

The airstrikes were conducted with US support to prevent planned terrorist attacks within Nigeria. The operation was closely coordinated with the US government and involved Nigeria's armed forces under the supervision of the Ministry of Defence and Foreign Affairs.
