Nigerian Human Trafficking Kingpin Jailed in Ghana, Victims Repatriated

Chukwudi Nwachukwu, a Nigerian human trafficking ring leader, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison with hard labor by the Achimota Circuit Court in Ghana. The Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) commended the sentencing and coordinated the safe return of the 10 rescued girls to Nigeria.

The victims, aged 15-18, were coerced into prostitution in Ghana. NIDCOM, led by Abike Dabiri-Erewa, expressed satisfaction with the justice served and urged vigilance against human trafficking.
