FG Inaugurates Committee to Drive Agro-Industrial Growth in Nigeria

The Federal Government of Nigeria has inaugurated a committee to drive agro-industrial growth through the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ) program. Led by Marcu Olaniyi Ogunbiyi, the committee aims to accelerate agro-industrialization, boost private sector investment, and transform Nigeria's agricultural value chain.

The program seeks to unlock Nigeria's agricultural potential through cluster-based development and integrated infrastructure. Kabir Yusuf, the National Project Coordinator for SAPZ, highlighted the program's goal of promoting inclusive and sustainable agro-industrial development to reduce Nigeria's food import bill and enhance food security and job creation.
