Tinubu Orders BOA to Clear Arrears as AfDB Releases N30bn for Agricultural Development

President Bola Tinubu directed the Bank of Agriculture (BOA) to settle outstanding arrears owed to input suppliers under the National Agricultural Growth Scheme, following the release of N30 billion from the African Development Bank (AfDB). The fund represents the second tranche aimed at settling obligations for the 2024 agricultural programs, emphasizing the government's commitment to enhancing food security and agricultural development in Nigeria.

The BOA pledged to expedite the disbursement process using electronic wallets to ensure timely payments to agro-dealers, aligning with the government's priority to support food production and boost the agricultural sector.
