FG Forms Committee for 2026 Women Empowerment Rally

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced the formation of a committee for the 2026 National Women Mega Empowerment Rally, which is set to take place on May 5, 2026, at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium. The event, themed "Power 10 Million," aims to gather 10 million women to showcase the creative economic potential of Nigerian women.

Notable Nollywood actresses, including Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, and Joke Silva, have been appointed as members of this committee. The committee will be chaired by actress Rahama Sadau and includes other prominent figures such as Eniola Badmus, Tola Akerel, and Ngozi Okoh.

Veteran stars like Fausat Balogun, Toyin Adegbola, and Remi Oshodi are also part of the broader organizing team. Additionally, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, the First Lady of Lagos State, and Hannatu Musawa, the Minister of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, are involved in the initiative, which is designed to coordinate creative and cultural activities.
