Nigerian Government Places Security Agencies on High Alert for Christmas Celebrations

The Nigerian government has directed security agencies, including the DSS, Nigeria Police Force, and others, to be on red alert for the Christmas and New Year festivities. Measures include intensified patrols, intelligence gathering, and deployment of personnel to critical assets.

The Nigeria Customs Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps are also stepping up security at ports, airports, and borders. The National Security Adviser is expected to brief security chiefs and the Minister of Defence on operational plans.
