Nigeria Plans Exportable Products for 774 LGAs by 2026 to Boost Trade

The Nigerian government aims to identify at least one export product for each of the country's 774 local government areas by 2026. This initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, seeks to diversify Nigeria's export focus away from oil and tap into the potential of various sectors.

The plan includes enhancing coordination across government institutions, improving trade data management, and conducting nationwide sensitization campaigns. By localizing AfCFTA benefits, the government aims to stimulate local economies, create jobs, and strengthen Nigeria's position in the regional trade market.
