Nigerian Government Probes Alleged Seizure of Military Aircraft in Burkina Faso

The Nigerian government is probing the reported seizure of a Nigerian Air Force C-130 aircraft in Burkina Faso following an alleged airspace violation. The aircraft made an emergency landing in Bobo Dioulasso with two crew members and nine soldiers on board.

Burkina Faso authorities stated that the aircraft lacked authorization to fly over their territory, condemning the incident and placing their anti-aircraft units on high alert. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja is verifying the circumstances surrounding the incident.
