FG Reviews Bola Tinubu's Presidential Pardon Amid Controversy

The Federal Government of Nigeria is currently reviewing the potential presidential pardon for Bola Tinubu. The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, stated that no inmate has been granted clemency in the recent exercise.

The process is still undergoing administrative stages to ensure compliance with legal procedures. This move follows backlash over the exercise of presidential mercy powers by Tinubu.

The Council of State recently ratified a list of offenders, both living and deceased, eligible for clemency, including those on death row.
