FG Silent as INEC Chairman's 2020 Legal Brief Alleging Christian Genocide Resurfaces

The Nigerian government is silent on a 2020 legal brief by INEC Chairman Prof. Joash Amupitan alleging a Christian genocide in Nigeria linked to Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen.

The document calls for international intervention, accusing the government of failing to protect affected communities. Senator Yemi Adaramodu confirmed the existence of the report, while efforts to reach the Ministry of Information were unsuccessful.

The brief resurfaces amidst dismissals of similar claims, including those by former U.S. President Donald Trump.
