Atiku Criticizes Tinubu's Government After Borno Attack

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar condemned the federal government's response to a recent terrorist attack in Borno State, where approximately 100 residents were reportedly abducted from an internally displaced persons (IDP) camp located in Gwoza Local Government Area. In a statement posted on social media, Atiku accused President Bola Tinubu's administration of prioritizing political opposition over tackling the increasing violence and insecurity posed by ethnic militia groups.

He described the situation as deeply troubling and indicative of the government's failure to maintain control over the fight against terrorism. Atiku expressed concern that the government's focus has shifted towards exerting pressure on political opponents, enabling self-serving ethnic militia groups, rather than addressing the urgent security challenges facing civilians.

He lamented the growing numbness in society towards the escalating violence and criticized the government's inadequate response to similar incidents across the country.
