FG to Open Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway Section, Mentorship Program Initiated

The Nigerian government is set to open the first section of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway in December, with completion expected by April 2026. The Ministry of Works praised the pace of work by Hitech Construction Company and highlighted the project's economic prospects.

Notably, progress has been made on critical sections, including concrete pavement and interchanges. Additionally, a mentorship program initiated by President Tinubu aims to recruit engineering professionals for major federal projects.

The highway project aims to enhance transportation infrastructure and boost economic development in the region.
