Taiwo Oyedele Launches Framework to Streamline Government Processes
The Federal Government has unveiled a framework aimed at reducing bureaucratic delays and enhancing the responsiveness of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to businesses and investors. During a strategic engagement at the Federal Ministry of Finance headquarters in Abuja, Taiwo Oyedele, the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, emphasized the need for economic reforms to address everyday frustrations faced by businesses.
He urged agencies to streamline their processes, eliminate overlapping requirements, and ensure that businesses can operate more efficiently. The framework promotes a “One Government” approach, where MDAs coordinate their activities to avoid conflicting demands.
Oyedele also directed agencies to remit revenues promptly and submit audited accounts as required. The performance of agencies will be evaluated based on service delivery speed and cost-effectiveness for businesses.
The Ministry of Finance will also adhere to these expectations, with a review of agency submissions planned within four to six weeks, followed by consultations on measurable commitments.
