Nigerian Government Withdraws Criminal Defamation Case Against Senator Natasha

The Federal Government of Nigeria has decided to withdraw a criminal defamation case filed against Senator Natasha, who represents Kogi Central in the 10th National Assembly. The case, triggered by allegations made by individuals like Senator Godswil Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, accused the senator of plotting to eliminate them.

The case, which included charges of cyberbullying, was withdrawn along with cases involving other individuals like Governor Usman Ododo and Senator Ekpenyong Asuquo. Notably, the Federal Government did not directly implicate Akpabio in the development.

Despite the withdrawal of the criminal charges, Akpabio's civil defamation suit against Senator Akpoti and Uduaghan remains pending in court.
