NGX Reports N6.95 Trillion in New Listings for 2026

The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) announced that it recorded N6.95 trillion in new listings during the first five months of 2026. Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) bonds and sukuk made up 69.6% of this total, amounting to N4.84 trillion.

Corporate listings contributed 26.8%, totaling N1.87 trillion. Lagos State bonds accounted for 3.5%, equating to N244.8 billion, including a N230 billion Series 4 bond issued on February 9, 2026, with a 10-year maturity at a fixed rate of 16.25%.

Notable corporate listings included Fidel Bank PLLC, United Bank for Africa (UBA), FCMB Group PLC, First Holdco PLC, Access Hold PLC, and Guaranty Trust Holding Company PLC, which collectively listed N731.86 billion. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has mandated financial institutions to raise fresh equity to meet capital thresholds.

The NGX also launched the NGX Invest digital platform to streamline public offerings and enhance capital raising efforts.
