Jordan FA Receives Overdue Prize Money from FIFA

The Jordan Football Association’s President, Prince Ali bin Hussein, announced on Thursday that Jordan's players and staff had received outstanding prize money for their participation in the 2025 Arab Cup. This payment was made two days after Prince Ali criticized FIFA President Gianni Infantino for backing out of a proposal to sell a stake in the World Cup.

He claimed that FIFA had promised assistance to resolve issues facing the Jordan Football Association in exchange for support for Infantino. One significant issue was the delay in receiving prize money since December for reaching the Arab Cup final in Qatar.

Prince Ali expressed gratitude to FIFA for delivering the owed funds, which he stated should have been received eight months prior. He also alleged that FIFA had communicated during the World Cup that supporting Infantino would significantly aid the Jordan Football Association.
