Nigerian Filling Stations Raise Fuel Prices as NNPC Sells Petrol at N922/Litre in Lagos

Several filling stations in Nigeria have raised petrol prices to an average of N865 to N910 per litre, with some stations selling as high as N922 per litre in Lagos. The NNPC also increased its pump price to N922 per litre, while other stations like Ardova, Matrix De Petroleum, Fatgbem Petrocam, TotalEnergies, Pinnacle, and Mobil are selling at prices ranging from N890 to N922 per litre.

In Abuja, NNPC's retail outlets are selling at N955 per litre. The price hike, the second within a week, is speculated to be due to supply challenges faced by Dangote Petroleum Refinery, which has started direct fuel distribution.

Mike Osatuyi of IPMAN attributes the increase to international crude oil prices.
