Finance Minister Wale Edun Elected President of Nigerian Boxing Federation, Promises Overhaul

Wale Edun, the Finance Minister, has been elected as the President of the Nigerian Boxing Federation, promising a significant overhaul of the sport in Nigeria. The election, held in Abuja, saw Edun secure twelve votes uncontested.

His opponent, Omonlei Imadu, received eight votes. Edun aims to revive boxing across the country by focusing on grassroots development and creating better opportunities for athletes to compete internationally.

The transparent and fair election process was commended by the National Sport Commission.
