The Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) is spearheading financial inclusion and digital innovation in Africa through its electronic payment framework. NIBSS has been recognized for its role in transforming Nigeria's financial inclusion strategy and achieving international standards.

Notably, NIBSS became the first payment system in Africa to reach a mature inclusion level. The system's efforts have been commended for creating seamless payment systems and enhancing real-time digital access.

Recently, Nigeria received acclaim for its payment infrastructure at the launch of the State Instant Payment System (SIIP) in Eswatini, Southern Africa.
