Fine & Country MD Appeals $97,000 Overdraft Claim Against Central Bank

Udokanma Okonjo, MD of Fine & Country West Africa, petitions the Central Bank of Nigeria over a $97,000 overdraft claim by Providus Bank. The case involves allegations of false charges, unauthorized reclassification of accounts, and lack of transparency.

Okonjo's legal counsel, Sunni Omoragbon, highlights discrepancies in the bank's claims and asserts that the judgment was based on incomplete and misleading information. The dispute also involves alleged harassment and unprofessional communication by Providus Bank officials.

The matter is now subject to an appeal following a ruling by the Federal High Court in Lagos reducing the interest rate.
