Fire Engulfs Rivers State Secretariat Amid Fraud Probe Threat - Pensions Board Destroyed

A fire broke out at the Rivers State Secretariat, destroying a section housing the Rivers State Pensions Board. The incident, suspected to be caused by an electrical fault, occurred amidst Governor Sir Siminialayi Fubara's threat to punish civil servants involved in fraudulent activities.

Efforts from state and federal fire services were made to combat the blaze. The State Government is yet to release an official statement regarding the fire.
