Matna Food Partners Ondo Government to Empower Youth

Matna Food Company Limited has collaborated with the Ondo State government to boost youth and women's participation in agriculture through the WISE program. The initiative is designed to empower 3,000 youth as outgrower farmers within the cassava value chain.

Mr. Oska Seyi Aiyeleso, the Managing Director of Matna Food Company Limited, emphasized that the WISE program aims to create long-term economic value and strengthen local agricultural supply chains.

The initiative also seeks to connect young farmers directly to structured markets, thereby creating jobs and benefiting communities across Ondo State. Olaley Akinola, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, highlighted the importance of partnerships between government and private sector investors to expand agricultural production and support farmers.

Hon. Seun Bosed Osamay, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, commended Matna Food for prioritizing women and vulnerable groups, while Segun Omoyofunmi, the Commissioner for Youth and Sport Development, stressed the potential of agriculture to empower youth and provide sustainable livelihoods.
