Ekiti Celebrates Inaugural Commercial Flight Landing at New Airport

The Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, welcomed its first commercial flight, a Nigerian Air Force aircraft, marking a historic moment for the state. Governor Kayode Fayemi commissioned the airport in 2023, with Governor Biodun Oyebanji overseeing its completion at a cost of N49 billion.

The project received support from prominent figures like President Bola Tinubu and philanthropist Baba Af Babalola. The airport, built by CCECC Nigeria Ltd, is set to transform Ekiti into an aviation hub.
