FMBN Achieves N152.4bn NHF Collections in 2025

The Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) announced that it recorded N152.4 billion in National Housing Fund (NHF) collections for the year 2025, representing a 48% growth from N103 billion in 2024. Usman Osidi, the Managing Director of FMBN, disclosed this during a press briefing in Abuja, marking the second anniversary of his tenure.

He attributed the growth to reforms aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and expanding the contributor base, which now includes 139,000 new contributors, bringing the total to 300,000 over the past two years. The bank also reported that it paid N15.6 billion in refunds to 55,068 beneficiaries in 2025, compared to N14.4 billion to 44,333 beneficiaries in 2024.

Additionally, FMBN financed 6,911 housing units in 2025, with project loan disbursements rising to N79 billion from N31.5 billion in 2024. Osidi emphasized the need for recapitalization to target N750 billion as part of the bank's reform agenda.
