On May 9, 2026, Football Ambassadors FC emerged as champions of the Lydia Wilson Foundation Charity Cup, defeating 11 Star FC 3-2 in a thrilling penalty shootout during the final held in Lagos. The tournament, organized by the Lydia Wilson Foundation, serves as a platform to discover and empower young talent, particularly orphans and vulnerable children, while promoting community development and supporting widows across Nigeria.

Football Ambassadors FC received the coveted Lydia Wilson Foundation Charity Cup and gold medals, while 11 Star FC was awarded silver medals. Eight outstanding players, including three female participants, received special awards and cash prizes for their talent and discipline.

Co-founder Lydia Wilson Balogun reaffirmed the foundation's commitment to restoring hope and creating opportunities for vulnerable communities through sports and education.
