Former PDP Governor Joins APC in Ekiti State Ahead of Election

Olusegun Obi, a former governor of Ekiti State, has switched from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in preparation for the state's governorship election. His defection was announced by Adesola Adedayo, the coordinator of the APC registration exercise in Ekiti State.

The move is seen as significant for the APC's registration efforts and comes amidst political permutations for the 2027 general elections. Notably, Wole Oluyede was not listed as a candidate by INEC for the forthcoming poll.
