Ex-Super Eagles Star Warns Against Overreliance on Osimhen for AFCON 2025

Former Nigerian international and ex-Super Eagles player, Sam Sodje, has cautioned coach Eric Chell about overburdening Victor Osimhen with goal-scoring responsibilities during the AFCON 2025 in Morocco. Osimhen, who plays for Galatasaray, has been in good form but Sodje advises Chell to share the workload among other strikers to avoid depending solely on Osimhen.

The Super Eagles are drawn in Group C alongside Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda, with their first match scheduled for December 23. Sodje emphasizes the importance of not solely relying on one player for success in the continental tournament.
