Former world champion boxer Ricky Hatton passed away at the age of 46 in Hyde, Tameside. Greater Manchester Police confirmed the discovery of his body at Bowlacre Road, with no suspicious circumstances reported.

Hatton, known as the "Hitman," had a successful boxing career from 1997 to 2012, winning titles in the light welterweight and welterweight divisions. His impressive record included 45 victories and notable bouts against Kostya Tszyu and Jose Luis Castillo.

Hatton's return to professional competition after a 13-year hiatus was cut short by his untimely death. The boxing community mourned the loss of the British champion, who had faced tough opponents like Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao during his career.
