France Bans Israeli Minister Itamar Ben Gvir Over Conduct

France has imposed a ban on Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir from entering its territory, as announced by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot. This decision follows Ben Gvir's actions towards French and European citizens who were passengers on the Global Sumud Flotilla, which aimed to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Barrot described Ben Gvir's conduct as "unspeakable," stating that France cannot tolerate threats and intimidation from public officials. The ban comes after Poland had already announced a five-year ban on Ben Gvir earlier in the week, with Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski condemning his behavior.

Reports from freed activists indicate serious human rights abuses, including sexual abuse and humiliating treatment of detainees by Israeli authorities. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Ben Gvir's treatment of activists does not align with Israel's values, although he previously denounced the flotilla as a malicious scheme intended to support Hamas.
