Frank Onyeka played a pivotal role in Coventry City FC's return to the Premier League after a 25-year absence, as they secured promotion with a 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers on April 17. Coventry needed just one point to confirm their place among England's elite, which they achieved when Bobbi Thomas scored an equalizer in the 84th minute, bringing their total to 86 points and ensuring a top-two finish.

Onyeka, who joined Coventry on loan from Brentford FC in January, started the match and played for 62 minutes, demonstrating his impact with an 81% pass accuracy rate, two tackles, two clearances, and six recoveries. His contributions were vital in a season where Coventry had previously faced challenges, including a semi-final defeat in the playoffs.

The promotion was made possible by a clause in Onyeka's loan agreement, which would trigger a permanent deal upon promotion.
