Lawmakers led by Speaker Martin Amaewhule have rejected Fubara's new list of commissioner nominees, indicating a lack of consensus and ongoing influence battles within the state's political structure. The People's Democratic Party (PDP) is also involved, with claims of Governor Wike pushing for 12 commissioner slots to maintain control.
