FRSC Chief Calls for Armed Personnel to Enhance Road Enforcement

Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has advocated for armed personnel to improve road enforcement effectiveness. Mohammed highlighted the challenges faced by FRSC teams in stopping trailers and trucks, especially those carrying excessive passengers or animals.

He emphasized that arming personnel would enhance their ability to enforce regulations and curb issues like bribery within the corps. Mohammed stressed the need for cohesive power to effectively address road safety concerns and ensure compliance with traffic laws, ultimately enhancing public safety on Nigerian roads.
