FTAN South-East Honors HRM Ayalogu's Cultural Legacy

The Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN) South-East, led by Vice President Ugwu Wilson Uch, celebrated the legacy of HRM Igw O U Ayalogu, the traditional ruler of Ngwo, who is recognized for his outstanding contributions to cultural preservation and tourism development. The event coincided with the 105th birthday of Ayalogu, who is regarded as one of the oldest traditional rulers in South-East Nigeria.

During the visit, Uch emphasized the vital role of traditional institutions in safeguarding the region's historical identity and heritage, asserting that tourism cannot thrive without the preservation of customs and values. Ayalogu's entrepreneurial legacy includes pioneering commercial poultry farming in Enugu State, which has significantly contributed to agricultural economic development.

The FTAN South-East delegation expressed profound appreciation for Ayalogu's enduring legacy and reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with traditional institutions to promote cultural heritage tourism in the region.
