Governor Fubara Appoints New Commissioners in River State

Governor Fubara of River State has appointed new commissioners, with a list of nominees read on the floor of the House on Tuesday by Clerk Emeka Amadi. The governor submitted 40 sets of curriculum vitae and photocopies of credentials for screening.

The nominees include Professor Datony Alasia, Mr. Tony Bellgam, Professor Templ Nwofor, Dr.

Peter Nwagor, Mr. Chariti Deemua, Tamuno William Esq, Mr.

Leku Kenneth Otony, T.K.D. Amachre Esq, and Sir Amairigha Edward Hart Amadi.

The River State House of Assembly has been invited to review the nominees for appointment to the River State Executive Council. This action follows the dissolution of the state executive council last month due to a political crisis that erupted involving former Minister Nyesom Wike and President Bola Tinubu, who intervened to broker peace between the two political figures.
