River State Governor Nyesom Wike, alongside Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Sim Fubara, vowed to learn from past errors and ensure they are not repeated in the 2027 elections. Wike emphasized the importance of acknowledging mistakes and taking corrective actions.

He assured the people that the errors of the 2023 elections would not be repeated in 2027. The tension between leaders, particularly with the All Progressives Congress (APC), was also noted during his visit to the local government areas of Akuku Toru and Degema.
