ADC Accuses Wike of Resource-Driven Interests in Rivers

The Rivers State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), of being primarily interested in the resources of Rivers State. This accusation came after Wike stated that Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara had fulfilled his obligations, including submitting a list of members for the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign council before his trip to the United States.

Chizzy Enyi, the ADC Publicity Secretary, responded by suggesting that Wike has taken on the role of the chief executive of Rivers State and criticized his focus on the state's resources. Enyi stated, “Nigerians can now see that the interest Wike has in Rivers State is about our resources and nothing more,” and expressed that Wike's influence over state matters would eventually cease.
