CBN Reveals Nigerian Banks' Savings Deposit Interest Rates for 2026

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has disclosed the latest data on savings deposit interest rates offered by various Nigerian banks in 2026. The rates range from 2% to 8.25% per annum, with banks like Access Bank, UBA, Zenith Bank, Fidelity Bank, and others offering rates around 8%.

The move is in line with CBN's monetary policy framework to encourage savings and improve cash management. Some banks, like Ecobank, offer lower rates at 5.90%.

The updated rates aim to enhance security, promote digital payment channels, and encourage higher-value transactions.
