Galatasaray Coach Expects Osimhen Back Next Week

Okan Buruk, the current coach of Galatasaray, provided an update on Victor Osimhen's recovery, stating that he expects the star striker to rejoin the squad next week. Osimhen sustained an arm injury during a UEFA Champions League playoff match against Liverpool at Anfield, which resulted in a 2-1 loss.

Following this, Galatasaray played two matches without him, losing to Trabzonspor and then bouncing back with a 3-1 win against Göztepe, restoring a four-point lead at the top of the Super Lig table. Buruk noted that Osimhen's condition is suitable for inclusion in the matchday squad for the upcoming clash against Gençlerbirliği next Saturday.

However, he will miss the league match against Kocaelispor on Sunday. After undergoing surgery on his arm, Osimhen is expected to be sidelined until at least the end of April, although fans are hopeful for an earlier return, especially ahead of the derby against Fenerbahçe on April 26.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray on a permanent deal worth €75 million last summer and has made a significant impact, scoring 12 league goals and seven in European competitions this season.
