Gambler’s Fallacy? Important Question at BetPawa’s Responsible Gaming Training

BetPawa recently conducted its annual Responsible Gaming training for customer service personnel in Africa, focusing on identifying and assisting clients struggling with problem gambling. The training, led by BetPawa RG champion Olabimpe Akingba and Country Manager Ezekiel Omo, covered modules such as Understanding RG, Recognizing Customers, Simulation Exercises, and Making Referrals.

Facilitated by trainer Tranquil Quest, the session emphasized the importance of developing a healthy relationship with customers and recognizing signs of addiction. Clinical Psychologist Tunji Odebiyi highlighted the 4Cs of addiction - control, consequence, compulsion, and craving - to help staff categorize customer behavior.

BetPawa aims to embed responsible gaming practices in all aspects of its operations, offering player protection features and counseling services across Africa. The company also launched a Financial Empowerment Program to help winners manage their success responsibly.
