GCU Relays Ambassador Upbeat on 7th Edition, Promotes Healthy Competition Among Nigerian Schools

Ruky Bazunu, an Olympian and Hall of Fame inductee, is excited about the upcoming 7th edition of the annual Government College Ughelli (GCU) Relays. The event, scheduled for November 22nd, will see schools from across Nigeria participating.

Bazunu, who recently visited the USA, expressed high hopes for the event despite economic challenges. The GCU Relays aim to promote healthy competition among secondary school athletes.

Notable athletes like Godson Oghenebrume Sundai Akintan have emerged from this event in the past. The GCUOBA Secretary-General, Pastor Wilson Egbodj, highlighted the significance of the event in developing young talents.
