Glasgow 2026 Launches New Athletics Track at Scotstoun

Glasgow 2026 has officially unveiled a new athletics track at Scotstoun Stadium, designed to host the Commonwealth Games from July 27 to August 1, 2026. This state-of-the-art track features the dynamic Mondo Sportflex Super X 720 surface, known for its technological advancements and energy return capabilities, which will significantly enhance athlete performance.

The event will include 59 medal events for both athletes and para-athletes, showcasing prominent sports figures such as Scotland's Josh Kerr and Eilish McColgan, England's Katarina Johnson-Thompson and Georgia Hunter-Bell, Jamaica's Shericka Jackson, and Kenyan stars Faith Cherotich, Lilian Odira, and Timothy Cheruiyot.
