The 2026 Africa Social Impact Summit is scheduled for July 22-23, 2026, in Nigeria, aiming to mobilize capital and partnerships to accelerate sustainable development across the continent. Moham Malick Fall, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Nigeria, highlighted the need for collective action to advance sustainable development goals. The summit will serve as a platform to bring together government, private sector, and development partners to accelerate progress. Abubakar Suleiman, a board member of Sterling Foundation and Managing Director of Sterling Bank, noted that collaboration across sectors is essential to unlock Africa's development potential. Nigeria's Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, commended the initiative, emphasizing the need for partnerships to unlock the country's potential. Olapeju Ibekwe, CEO of Sterling Foundation, stated that the summit is designed to create a catalytic space for leaders to move beyond dialogue towards measurable outcomes that advance Africa's development priorities.
